Dear Friend,
We are thrilled to have three tremendous keynote speakers at this year’s Banquet, Dr. Yusef Salaam, member of the “Exonerated Five” (formerly the Central Park Five), Rep. Rashida Tlaib, one of the first female Muslims to be elected to Congress, and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Jose Antonio Vargas, founder of the immigrant advocacy organization Define American. All three speakers transformed life circumstances that most of us would accept as “fate” into powerful platforms for advocacy and social change - for themselves and their communities. You will be in awe of their stories.
This year’s Community Changemaker Award will be presented to Dr. Ahmed Soboh, Chair of the Shura Council of Southern California, for his example/leadership to create the community we are capable of becoming.
Get your tickets below. You won’t want to miss it.

A member of the Exonerated Five young men who spent years of their lives in jail for a crime they didn’t commit, Dr. Yusuf Salaam now uses his platform to speak out against injustice and encourage all of us to use our voices.
The Pulitzer-award winning journalist and founder of Define American, a nonprofit organization that uses the power of story to transcend politics and shift the conversation about immigrants, identity, and citizenship in a changing America.
