Amy Goodman is an acclaimed American broadcast journalist, syndicated columnist, investigative reporter and bestselling author. She is the host and Executive Producer of Democracy Now!, an award-winning, daily, independent news program airing on over 1,400 public television and radio stations worldwide. From Chicago to Standing Rock to the U.S. Mexico border, Goodman reports from the front lines of issues shaping our democracy.

Goodman was the first journalist to be awarded the Right Livelihood Award, widely known as the ‘Alternative Nobel Prize’ for developing an innovative model of truly independent grassroots political journalism that brings to millions of people the alternative voices that are often excluded by the mainstream media.
