Dr. Ahmed Soboh is the Chairman of the Islamic Shura Council of Southern California, a 25-year-old umbrella organization to 78 Islamic Centers, Muslim organizations and institutes. In his two years as Chairman, Dr. Soboh has brought the Shura Council into a new stage of life and growth, exponentially expanding its reach, influence, and impact across the region, and creating a more collaborative environment for Muslims across the Southland.

Dr. Soboh is also the founder and Religious Director of the Chino Valley Islamic Center, and a sought-after speaker in the Muslim and interfaith communities of Southern California, Since 2002, Dr. Soboh has been a Khatib and speaker at many mosques in Southern California, and a lecturer about Islam at churches, temples, schools, and universities. He also presents seminars informing law enforcement agencies, including sheriff departments, police departments, and Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) about the American Muslim community to build relationships and increase understanding.

Dr. Soboh works closely with prominent leaders of the local Muslim community, including Dr. Muzammil Siddiqui, Jihad Turk, Salam Al-Marayati, Hussam Ayloush, Nahla Al Kayali, Umar Hakim, and more. He is a board member of Minaret Academy School, a Committee Member of the Inland Valley Project for Peace in the Middle East, and a youth advisor at several Islamic Centers in Southern California.

A graduate of the Islamic Scientific College in Amman, Jordan and the University of Jordan School of Dentistry, Dr. Soboh is a practicing dentist in Pomona, CA. He resides in Fullerton with his wife, Dr. Sarah Soboh, and their three children, Hamza, Yusuf, and Samma.
