SIREEN SAWAF

MUSLIM BAR ASSOCIATION


Sireen Sawaf is a Deputy City Attorney at the Office of the Los Angeles City Attorney, General Civil Litigation Division, where she primarily focuses on law and motion. As outreach coordinator for the Muslim Bar Association of Southern California (MBASC), Sireen coordinates with like-minded organizations and firms to host panels that address the community's needs. She earned her J.D. at the UCLA School of Law, where she served as the Editor and Chief of the Journal of Islamic and Near Eastern Law and a board member of the Muslim Law Students Association. Prior to pursuing her law degree, Sireen worked at the Muslim Public Affairs Council as the Hate Crimes Prevention Department Coordinator, then as the Southern California Government Relations Director, all of which inspired her to pursue her law degree. Sireen is happily married and has two children.
